Ah, back from the weekend. As I mentioned Friday, I am a HUGE fan of falling back for Daylight Saving. Yes it’s dark when I leave work, but I usually go to the gym at the end of the workday, anyways, so it doesn’t really bother me. But that extra hour in the morning is magical. At least for the first week.
I digress. So this weekend I fell pretty hard into the Gap, doing some minor retail demage. Picked up this little number:
Because if a polka dot chambray shirt wasn’t at the top of things I needed, it sure hell was at 3:30 on Saturday. (I am full-on obsessed with this top, and plan on wearing it way too often.) I also found some awesomely bright work pants and a few other sale items I needed to spruce things up in the closet area. I also upped my candle inventory at B&BW, but otherwise escaped pretty unscathed.
After my wallet workout, I had a little girls night with my best friend and my mom, paying a visit to our salon for their first Customer Appreciation Night. (A chance to win some free hair products and free wine is all it takes to get me anywhere, obvi.) Plus with the biff being knocked up, I’ve always got one adorable little DD!
Oh I can’t wait to spoil that child…
Thanks to my mom for reminding us it was happening this weekend!
Isn’t she adorable? Seriously, my mom never ceases to impress me with her sense of style. And those TJ Maxx genes are much appreciated.
Although we had a great time chatting and sipping on our cocktails, I have to say the highlight of the night came in the form of… well…
A highlight.
Yes… this happened. I’ve been secretly wanting a pink stripe in my hair, and after spending much of my angsty high school years dying my hair pretty much every color of the rainbow, I think a part of adult me has always missed that. So this is about as close as I’ll ever get to it again. But not only did I get one, but so did Mary. Oh…
And so did my mom
What did I tell you? The woman has a great sense of style.
(Thanks to our awesome stylist Karra for hooking us up! We love you!)
