Hi there, friends.  I hope you all had lovely little weekends!  It was freaking gorgeous ’round these parts and my vampire skin finally got to soak in a few hours of sunlight out on the deck Sunday afternoon.  I was a like a battery being recharged.  Plus there’s nothing like a rousing game of Scrabble and a buzz all before 6pm.  In fact, I think I partook in adult beverage consumption every day this weekend before 6pm… what can I say, temps above 60 prompt day drinking.

Anyways, two other very important things happened this weekend, of which I wanted to take a moment to address.

1) Brandon and I had a nice little date night on Saturday, including some dinner and drinks.  But not just any dinner, my friends.  Oh no.  The man who swears up and down and sideways that he hates- no, loathes seafood, ate an entire meal of sushi.  An ENTIRE. MEAL.  I realize this may not seem like much to the average person, but this was a great moment in our relationship and our future dinner dates.

2)  Seriously, and more importantly, my bestest friend in the world became a mommy this weekend.  It still blows my mind to think that my roll-dog and partner in crime for the last 10+ years is now responsible for another human life, but I know that she is going to be just the most amazing mother.  Even though our years of bachelorette parties and RedBull & vodka induced hazes are probably behind us, I can’t wait to watch this little man grow up and win the Super Bowl one day.

Or maybe just a spelling bee or something, but either way.  He’s gonna be awesome.

And will I have some stories to tell him in about 18 years
