Hey there, party people. Are we all feeling nice and chipper today? Luckily for everyone that comes into contact with me today, my beloved Eagles won yesterday (barely), so I am in a rather good mood. It’s not a pretty scene when my team loses. Not. At. All.
But anyways, YAY FOOTBALL IS BACK!
Besides the fact that I’m pretty sure someone drugged me right before our fantasy draft (seriously, my team is horrendous), this means I get to bust out all my favorite Eagles gear and justify drinking by noon every Sunday. I mean, those Oktoberfests aren’t going to sample themselves.

To my pleasant surprise, Yuengling has an Oktoberfest, and let me tell you, it’s deeelicious. Especially while consumed overlooking this lovely scenery on a sunny, breezy September day. Ahhhh, football season. How I love thee.
Speaking of bodies of water… you guys. I started re-watching Dawson’s Creek this weekend and wow. After hearing a few of my ladies discussing it, I decided it might be time. I’m still processing Six Feet Under, so something light was needed.
It’s everything I hoped it would be. So many vests, so many mom jeans. And so many songs I loved when I was 16! I may have already created a Dawson’s Creek playlist on Spotify. (I did.) I’m only in season two, and I don’t know how I’ve never done this before. There are a few differences this time than the first time I watched it. For one, I now realize how hot Dawson’s dad is. ME-YOW, Mr. Leary. Also I don’t hate Jen as much this time. I kind of feel bad for her. Also I realize why my parents weren’t big fans of me watching it when I was 15. Um, inappropriate much?
Anyways, I’ll stop obsessing about it. But I can’t promise this is the last time I’ll bring it up. And I stay tuned for rants about how much I love Pacey.
I hope you all enjoyed your weekends!

Ah, Dawson’s Creek – love it! If I were to rewatch again, I think I’d hate Jen less too – esp because you know how the whole thing ends.

I def feel differently watching it this time around. And I also realize how truly ridiculous it is. But that doesn’t mean I don’t love it just the same!
P.S. Joshua Jackson is one of the most perfect male specimens.

I have so many “Dawson’s Creek” memories…sigh. But yes, I did always think Mr. Leary was kind of hot. Glad to know I’m not the only one! I haven’t seen an episode in years, but maybe I’ll rent the DVDs this winter when it’s 10 degrees out and I’m a hermit. And for the record, totally team Pacey.

Count me in. Too bad we probably live far away from each other because I’ve got the series on Blu Ray!

Heh, I just got to season 4 and am LOVING IT. And yes, Mr. Leary is smokin. Also, my love of Josh Jackson has been rekindled. As far as the birds yesterday? Fucking terrible. That game was so, ugly. So ugly. I have no idea how we managed to win.

I’ll see if I can find my picture of me and Dawson circa 2001 to bring on Wednesday. My friend and I went to Wilmington, NC for my 22nd birthday and spent a good portion of our time stalking the set of Dawson’s Creek. Really, though, we were looking for Pacey and Joey. Instead we met Dawson and his “mom.”
Have you watched The B in Apt. 23 at all? It’s kind of really terrible, but Dawson – ahem – James Van Der Beek plays a version of himself, and it’s pretty great.

I never got into Dawson’s. Do you watch the ABC show the Bit– in Apt 23? The Van der B is on – as himself. It’s pretty funny how they weaved him in.

5 or 6 years ago, they played Dawson’s Creek from the beginning all the way through to the end, in the mornings before I went to work. I watched every single episode. There was SO much stuff I never caught when I was younger. That show was just so good.

You’ll be happy to know that I actually went to an EAGLES BAR yesterday to watch part of the game with a friend from Philadelphia. I thought you’d be proud.
Also, TEAM PACEY.

I can’t wait to start watching it. And Six Feet Under. Gotta bid farewell to Timmy before that though. Tears will be shed. My league did surprisingly well yesterday, but my league is just for fun so I felt less vindicated than if it was for money.
Also, I need to get on some Oktoberfests. Love them.

I didn’t watch Dawson’s when it was actually on prime time. Instead, I watched it for an entire summer before college. The entire series. Clearly I should have had a better summer job…

AHHH this is what happens when I don’t get a chance to check my G-reader before 7:30! I enjoy this parallel-lives thing we have going on; in addition to validating my existence, it’s nice to know that someone else agrees that there should be way less Dawson, way more Mr. Leery! Love it! (PS- I meant to tweet you yesterday to say that I have the Iggles defense this year in fantasy, so my heckling will likely be at a minimum.)

“These Oktoberfests aren’t gonna sample themselves” <— hahaha love it!!! Any excuse to drink before noon on a sunday is AOKAY with me lol (who are we kidding, when did I start caring about excuses
)

OMG I was such a hardcore fan of Dawson’s when I was younger, and I have to admit I wept a little when Joey ended up with Pacey and not Dawson. For some odd reason, I’ve never been a big fan of bad boys, and I thought Pacey enjoyed sleeping around way to much to ever change his ways for Joey. Call me a realist, hehehe. Now that I’ve matured, I realize just how PERFECT Josh Jackson is, and cannot understand why I would EVER cheer on Joey to pick Dawson over him. I was crazy.

I’m pretty sure I should get photo credit on that pic of you and Wolfe! Its a great pic too btw.
