Living in Central PA has it’s perks: beautiful seasons (cannot wait for leaves to start changing), close proximity to NY, Philly, & DC but with the quiet charm of suburbs, and just recently we got something that had been missing. And now they’re popping up all over the place.

Much to the dismay of my efforts to shape up before my beach trip in two weeks. But whatever, it will probably (hopefully) be too cold to swim by then anyways.
We’ve had two frozen yogurt cafes around now for a few months, and I just finally got around to checking out Bamboo. It was everything I’d hoped it would be an more. After some shopping with the biff we decided to continue our day of face-stuffing and finally indulge. Which is always a great plan after buying new skinny jeans from the Gap that you, just moments ago, poured yourself into. Whatever, it was totally worth it. Salted Caramel Pretzel? Um, YES. Needless to say I will be returning. Probably more frequently than I’d like to admit.
I also finally finished watching the series, Six Feet Under (ps I just wrote “Sex Feet Under” haha) and HOLY SH*T.
You guys. This is the best show I’ve ever watched. Like. Ever. I was sobbing for almost 2 hours after the finale, I even had to go talk to Brandon to help calm me down. It totally wasn’t the wine either. It was hands-down the best series finale I’ve ever seen, and I don’t give that title away lightly. (I even wrote that on Facebook so you know it must be true.) If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend you check it out. If only so we can talk about it since everyone else watched it like 10 years ago when it was current. Hey, I’m a late bloomer.
Also, I should tell you I just watched the last 10 minutes of the finale again on You Tube and maybe/definitely cried again. I obviously have issues. You know what’s good for that? It’s frozen and it rhymes with shmyogurt.
PS: Happy 35th Anniversary to my amazing Mom & Dad- you inspire me every day and I am so lucky to have you both as parents <3

It took me a few episodes to get into it but then I was totally hooked.

I hit the Gap this weekend too, finally found the cords of my dreams! The “sexy boyfriend” cords. Now I just need temps to dip below 70 so I don’t feel like a fool wearing them every day.

I had to stop at one but it could have been a really bad situation if I had more money to spend…err… Higher cc limits.
September 4, 2012 at 7:34 am
I have never watched Six Feet Under but I will most certainly add it to my list.
I indulged in some Pinkberry over the weekend myself. I only crave it in the summer time and since summer is almost over, I figured what the hell.
Happy anniversary to your parents!

You will LOVE it. And it’s for the best I waited this long….
September 4, 2012 at 7:34 am
I have a planned dinner and froyo date with Tiffany @ Snack Snark Bark next weekend. I’ve been counting down the days because I seriously LOVE hitting up froyo spots and pretending summer isn’t over.
September 4, 2012 at 7:57 pm
Love her! Sounds like a very fun time
September 4, 2012 at 8:17 am
Pretty sure that yogurt looks like the most delicious thing ever
September 4, 2012 at 7:58 pm
Haha I clearly have major issues with choosing toppings

We were Dexter fans first, so it was weird to see Michael C Hall in that role. I kept wanting him to kill someone. (Like that bitch Brenda!) But I really do need to watch that whole thing again. My sister in law burned me the soundtrack and I listen to it all the time.

Six Feet Under is so awesome & I want your yogurt for breakfast.
September 4, 2012 at 8:33 am
Also meant to tell you nice froyo there, Buddy the Elf. All that’s missing is the pop-tart.
September 4, 2012 at 8:39 am
A. Best comment ever. I am right now slow-clapping.
B. Just found the SFU soundtrack on Spotify and it’s making my day.
C. LOVE YOUR FACE!

I’ve never seen Six Feet Under, but I will add it to my playlist for Winter Break! I FREAKING LOVE FROZEN YOGURT!!!
September 4, 2012 at 8:48 am
Do it yourself frozen yogurt could be the end of me… well, that and all the cookies I have around.
September 4, 2012 at 7:59 pm
I don’t know how to don’t wake up day after day on the floor covered in spilled milk and cookie crumbs.
September 4, 2012 at 10:15 am
Fro yo has gone from a fun treat to an outright issue for me. There have been weekends where I’ve had it 3 times!! And because FL weather is hot all year round, I suspect it’ll remain a problem…oh well.
September 4, 2012 at 11:31 am
We only just got a frozen yogurt place not long ago. I was pretty freaking excited about it. I don’t know why it took so long either, they are obviously the best idea ever.
September 4, 2012 at 12:15 pm
You know, I never got into Six Feet Under but I always heard great things about it…I’ll add it to the list.
Way to wait til the tail end of summer to get your fro yo, by the way…you better just go back every day for the next couple weeks to get your season’s worth.
September 4, 2012 at 7:59 pm
Now THAT sounds like a plan.
September 4, 2012 at 12:42 pm
Funny story. So this weekend i went with my friend to “get some frozen yogurt” in this cute strip of stores/boutiques/restaurants right next to my place and ended up coming home 4 hours later, $450 poorer with ALOT more than just fro yo lol. At least I got some super cute end of summer/fall stuff (including light pink skinny jeans love) but I mean seriously – most expensive cup o’ fro yo EVER? Um yea.
WHOOPS.
September 4, 2012 at 1:54 pm
Lucky for me, fro-yo ain’t my thing. I’m an ice cream kinda’ gal. Actually, that isn’t so lucky after all since I guess fro-yo is better for you. Right? I dunno. Enjoy it!
September 4, 2012 at 8:01 pm
I’m not normally a big sweets fan but this is a whole new level for me.
September 4, 2012 at 2:54 pm
I LOVE Bamboo..thank goodness it is a half hour drive for me or I would be there everyday.
September 4, 2012 at 4:17 pm
Try the Cookies and Cream… My absolute favorite! Have fun on your trip.
September 4, 2012 at 8:02 pm
Thanks Meghan
I’ll have to try that next time!
September 4, 2012 at 5:48 pm
I am missing out on life with this whole froyo thing. I’ll stick with ritas for now I guess!
September 5, 2012 at 1:30 pm
you are correct. the series finale of six feet under is one of the best finales ever! i saw it when it originally aired and haven’t seen it since. i bet even now i would cry all over again. ;(
p.s. i am new to your blog. found you via how sweet. glad i did!
September 6, 2012 at 6:04 pm
Thanks, Jenn! I think I will probably rewatch it once I year like I do with the Felicity finale, and undoubtedly cry, every single time.
September 5, 2012 at 6:54 pm
A new froyo place just opened down the street from work. It’s becoming a problem.
I need to start watching Six Feet Under immediately!
September 6, 2012 at 12:59 am
I saw Six Feet Under earlier this year (late last year? can’t remember now) on NetFlix. I’d heard from friends that it was one of the best series finales ever. And yes. It was. I definitely cried to and now can’t listen to that Sia song without thinking of the ending. Very satisfying.
September 9, 2012 at 8:27 am
Oh happy anniversary to your parents! 35 years is amazing!!
I have heard Six Feet Under is awesome….I need to get that on my netflix list!
