Howdy ya’ll. Yes I did just mentally speak in a southern accent… what of it.
This week had been a humdinger (love that word) and I’m kind of exhausted. Things have been really busy, in a good way, but I’m ready for a weekend of maxin’ and relaxin’. Hopefully by this pool again…
Alright, let’s get to it.
1. One of the reasons I’ve been so tired this week is because I have been staying up waaaaay too late and watching all the past seasons of Six Feet Under. I’ve had so many people tell me what a great show this is, and since my father has been kind enough to lend me his iPad (which he can’t figure out and doesn’t know it yet, but is never getting it back), I’ve been watching them on HBO Go in bed every night until way past my bedtime.

I’m slightly concerned I’m going to pass out one of these nights and like, roll over it and shatter the screen, not only putting myself in debt for the cost of said iPad, but inevitably rolling over shards of glass and awaking to that horrific scene. Yes, I realize I’m insane.
2. I am obsessed with cutesy homemaker paraphernalia. Polka dot apron? Need it. Ceramic flower measuring cups/spoons from Anthro that are too fancy to actually use but look really cute on my baker’s rack? Duh. Hand-knit pink oven mit? You know it. Which is why when my lovely sister-in-law sent me these, I was smitten.
Did you just squeal? Because I did when I first saw them. No shame.
3. In addition to the salad I posted earlier this week, I have discovered another salad that is equally amazing, and involves even less prep work.

Wegman’s bagged chopped salads. UH mazing. I’d like to tell you that I didn’t eat the entire bag…
But that would be a lie. Seriously though, I got the Southwest Chopped Salad and it was fantastic. It’s awesome for people like me who have to pack their lunch to avoid driving to the over-priced over-crowded over-fattening little Greek place down the street everyday, or worse, feel the need to head to Target to grab something to eat and leaving with a soda maker, a new dog bed, 4 dresses and no lunch.
Just trust me on this.
Ok, that’s it for me. Sorry for the choppy post that I’m pretty sure has at least 2 grammatical errors in it, but I had way too much coffee this morning and I think my hands are actually vibrating.
Happy weekend!

I have nothing of value to add to the conversation, but enjoy your weekend, my friend!

Yah, I’ve already decided I’ll be spending most of my weekend day drinking in my parents pool. Hopefully they don’t mind, because it’s happening regardless.

I have been working on convincing my parents to get one for years. When it finally happens they can bank on me being a permanent fixture there.

Pool…jealous. All of the pools that I have “access” to in this city cost me $10-15 a pop, and I just…can’t. Have a relaxing weekend!

I agree, paying more than a few bucks to hang out by a pool is just highway robbery.

I have a feeling my friend Annie and you would enjoy looting each other’s kitchens. She is the co-queen of adorable. You are obviously the other.

1. Yes I squealed, those gloves are fierce.
2. i work near a plaza with a Target so I have had many “lunches” just as you described!
3. I’m going to check out six feet under because thanks to you I didn’t give up on Breaking Bad and loooove it now! and also because it’s perfect because we have a 3 month free trial of HBO and i finished watching “Girls” in one day (if you haven’t watched, stop what you’re doing and watch. now.).

LOVE Girls. Love. And I’m glad you stuck it out with BB
Six Feet Under is really good, but if you watch Dexter, it’s really weird to see him as a gay undertaker!

I’m dying to own an adorable apron, and to become the type of person that would actually wear something adorable specifically to catch spaghetti sauce. I bet you’ve been spending lots of time on etsy…
August 11, 2012 at 10:21 am
oddly enough I don’t go on Etsy to often. But it’s entirely because I know I will buy ALL THE THINGS.

I might actually consider washing dishes if I had gloves as adorable as those!!!!!!!
I have an awesome apron that I scored on clearance from urban outfitters. But it’s a little silly because I don’t wear it when I’m actually cooking messy things, because I don’t want to ruin the apron. Hah

I never wear my apron either. I think I’ve worn it twice, maybe? It just looks so cute hanging by the stove…

I spend so much time at my Dad’s house on the weekend laying by his pool that I am fairly certain he thinks I am living at home and in high school again.

You should try and work an allowance back into the routine while you’re ahead!

I love the gloves…almost makes me want to wash the sinkful of dishes my husband so graciously left for me.
Have a great time by the pool Jess!!

Everyone I know raves about Wegmans, I kind of wish we had one. Love the cutesy kitchen stuff as well, which is exactly the reason why I’m not allowed to venture into the home section of TJ Maxx or Ross because $200 later, I’m toast.

My love for Six Feet Under runs deep. I had a similiar marathon last year and watched all five seasons in an embarrassingly short amount of time…Love the gloves! And any Anthro kitchen goods. I may have four aprons from there…

The Fresh Express Peach Harvest salad is legit too, if you ever see it.
Six Feet Under is my next show to obsess over, after I finish FNL, Nurse Jackie and Damages.
